This restaurant is the best in the area. The lamb meal is always a reliable choice and never disappoints. I have even purchased it to reheat later, preferring it over other late-night options in the area. Some may find the seasoning to be lighter than what they are used to, but I believe it allows the true flavor of the meat to shine through and allows you to enjoy the entire meal without feeling overwhelmed. What Christina Heidenreich doesn't like about Borneo Cafe:
Greasy, overcookes, undercooked mis mash of food. We got take away, In walking distance to my house. Would never go back. Expensive and poor quality. I think a loot of the food was pre prepared and just re heated. Ummmmm. View all feedback.
We visit this little cafe as often as we can, at least once a week. It's on Nepean Hay in Chelsea, so about 20 minutes from where we live. It's a small family run business. Borneo Cafe serves authentic Malaysian/Thai Food. We love the red chicken curry, sambal green beans, nasi goreng, roti bread. Not to mention the satay chicken noodles, Kwai teo and pad Thai noodles. It's all freshly made and for a very reasonable cost. You can park behind in the shopping centre car park. The cafe isn't fancy but we have been going for quite a few years now and we are always happy with the food. A few doors down there is an ice creamery which has a huge variety of flavours and is the perfect end to a great meal.

Nice cheap asian food a bit like a noodle shop. Quick service in a limited seating area. Handy restaurant at the Chelsea shops on the Nepean Highway
Had takeway on a return from holidays. Food was nice and fresh cooked fast great service. Will return again. Dine in is nice pleasant surroundings.
My hubby and I have eaten here twice. The food was very good, hot and fresh (depending on what you order). We ordered Nasi Lemak (coconut rice served with chicken curry, achar, boiled egg, peanuts and sambal anchovies), a bit of everything, which is a good value. We also had Beef Rendang with rice. The beef was very tender and sauce was tasty! I like this dish, will order it again. We also ordered Beef in Black Pepper Sauce in a sizzling plate, the meat was tender as well and it had some broccoli. It was nice and hot with a mild pepper taste for Aussie taste I guess. We had Roti bread which has a pancake like consistency that you dipped in peanut sauce (not a really a fan out of it but my husband likes it). Overall, we will definitely come back here again. I would recommend it if you like Chinese Malasian food. The place is always clean and bright, nothing fancy, always good to eat at the front where the T.V is when they're not that busy yet. You can have a peek over the counter and see how they handle and cook your food.
