Contribute FeedbackSong in Chelmsford presents a charming and well-appointed ambiance, but recent dining experiences suggest inconsistency in food quality and service. Guests have reported cramped seating arrangements, unappetizing dishes that often arrive cold or oily, and inadequate attention from staff who seem more focused on closing up. While some patrons applaud the extensive buffet variety and attentive service, others express discontent over hygiene and food freshness. Despite moments of enjoyment, such as the appealing lunch deal and pleasant atmosphere, many have indicated disappointment, leaving them hesitant to return. Overall, patrons hope for improvement to match their expectations.
We made the decision to go on a Monday afternoon. it is usually overcrowded. if it is the first time they go, they explain how the buffet works. they are all very friendly and attentive in the removal of the plates, so they have a clean and clear table. eating is always hot. I liked the service and the variety of food. the dessert area is organized and everything has its name, so they know what they eat. if they want to pay for a drink or they have the opportunity to refill the glass as often as they want. I'm back!
I'll be back! we tried to eat here. but we could only get in now, as we booked one table. it's busy. we were greeted with a smile, very immediately sitting and all empty tellers were picked up by the table asap. there were 4 of us and we all liked it. certain some of the dishes better, others not so much. but much to choose. even for vegetarians. I loved cauliflower curry. very nice environment too.
Excellent value for money at midday. eating is of a pretty good quality, not high-end, but for the money it is very good. had a party of 7 there for lunch, and with unlimited food and unlimited alcohol-free drinks, and the bill came in a few pence short of 80 quid. it is quite busy (and therefore loud) so before, and perhaps avoid one if it is a quiet romantic meal.
Arguably the best buffet in Chelmsford, just adjacent to the bond street car park. Amazing spread, fantastic taste. Specially for my Asian friends, spice is good, not like the low spice food sold as indian/Chinese elsewhere. Unfortunately was so busy with the food, forgot to take photos.
Service is good as is the value for money here. Nice decor inside. Parking is easy at Bond Street. Food was hot and readily replenished. Good variety. Even fussy kids should be able to find something here.
