While the steak may not be the highlight, the food is still tasty and reasonably priced, making it a solid option for a casual meal. The free salad bar and bread are a nice touch, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. While the ambiance may be more traditional pub than upscale dining, The Plough's charm and convenient booking options make it a reliable choice for a local meal.
Basic all round. Steak was poor despite paying extra for a so called better cut! Tables cramped. Salad bar very cramped and poorly stocked. Service was good and overall OK for a basic meal, but not for a special occasion.
Good selection of options on the menu and some good lunchtime deals. Love the salad cart.
Go more often now you can book table even at the last minute so you know there won't be a long wait. Food freshly cooked to order and like free salad and roll and butter. Waitress very accommodating and can swap items on set menu Very convenient for local meal although prices have been creeping up lately. Fish and chips can be bought cheaper during the day at other local restaurants

Easy. Steak was poor, despite paying extra for a so-called better cut! Tables cramped. Salad bar very cramped and badly stocked. Service was good and overall OK for a ground meal, but not for a special occasion.
