What User doesn't like about Golden Fry:
Our local chippy since moving house and tried them for the first time last night. Service was quick and prices fine. However, lots of excess batter and not so much fish, and it was exceptionally greasy. Definitely had better elsewhere. View all feedback. What User likes about Golden Fry:
This is our local chippy, always had nice takeaways from here, usually cooked to order. Friday nights do get rather busy, so you may have to queue a while, but it's worth the wait, as the food is cooked really well. View all feedback.

It is worth queuing here for food (takeaway only) as it is delicious and generous in quantity. It is always busy, but nobody complains.
Glad I had to queue tonight shows we are supporting our local chippy. Food is always good especially the pensioners midday meal
Always found fab fish chips , not long to wait but busy when I been . Local to friends when visiting
Dropped son off at Tutor and had chips and jumbo sausage in the car with the wife. Lovely chips and sausage very nice too. Fast service and friendly staff.
Always reliably lovely white flaky cod and lots of chips. Great takeaway. Cash only it does get busy but staff clear quickly

While many commend the quick service, reasonable prices, and deliciously cooked chips, some report concerns over the quality of the fish, particularly regarding soggy batter and greasiness. The shop often experiences busy Friday nights, leading to longer wait times, yet many agree that the food is ultimately worth it. A standout feature is the consistently friendly staff, who enhance the dining experience and offer a variety of tasty sides, including a notably excellent curry sauce. Overall, it remains a popular choice for takeout.
