Jos - Chef-Boutonne

Starts from good, friendly efficient staff, very clean and welcoming, decent carafe of wine, decent enough pizza. carbonara pasta was however unacceptable, with tagliatelle and not spaghetti....claggy, cloying, not enough pasta water used to make it silky and creamy. it was like a touch. it would lift up with a fork! to drive it away from a raw egg. no apologies, no reduction of the bill....do not even acknowledge that I had not touched it. shocking will not be back.

A delicious lunch from the specials board. eat perfectly cooked, the staff very polite. a pleasant lunch. Thank you.

Excellent service and delicious pizzas, really enjoyed the thin basic beautiful and crispy great location in the middle of the city, easy to park and easy to find.

We stumbled across Jos while exploring Chef Boutonne with our family. We’ve moved from America to the Charente area of France have occasionally hankered after pizza. Though we’d been disappointed until finding Jos with the quality of pizzas in the area. Four adults and...two children who are picky eaters all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The pizzas were the best we’ve had in France. The fresh ingredients, friendly, efficient service and reasonably prices make this a great go restaurant. We’ll be back.

We pre-booked as we has a large group of friends getting together. Advisable to book as this restaurant gets very busy. Warm welcome, good menu selection, including plat de jour. Reasonalby priced and well presented Delicious home-cooked food. Great service. Lovely clean premises
