It was so good that we ate here two days back-to-back. The ceviche was amazing. Also tried a Caribbean octopus dish that was amazing. Patacones were out of this world. I'd need to come back to ST just for this place. Our server Carlos was also really great!! View all feedback.
What Vivan Thi Tang doesn't like about La Cevicheria:
both my friend and i became ill from eating here. tried to contact them 3 times before writing this review. left voicemails to help alleviate others from experiencing the same thing. they were also super busy and understaffed. View all feedback.
Que rico! we started with fried calamari 11,) and it was great! a divisible part that is slightly broken and crispy. it comes with cocktail sauce, but really, all they need is to enjoy a squeeze of fresh lime. Fish tacos are fantastic very fleshy and not too heavy or oily. they have the perfect crunch with the juicy and fresh cauliflower, with a cool band of crema to balance the seasoned one order of two well-sized tacos on soft mais tortillas is a stealing $6. we also tried the Pescado/Kamaron/Pulpo-Keviche. for good. there is a lot of seafood packed in this dish. I like everything is small cubes, including the fish, so the $15 price tag is a bargain for the amount and quality.
The **** cuddles were brilliant and the tostada de ceviche was also amazing. it was worth the ride and the people who worked there are very hospitable. . super great place
What an experience! Owner/Koch welcomed us directly when we walked in such a warm and welcoming environment. I walked through the menu and let them say that this guy was made. amazing personality to fit his amazing eating. full life, colours and aromas! also the house made habanero salsa is delicious. we ordered the aguachiles, fish tacos, chapin ceviche was the tables favorites and the caribena mariscadas was full of taste and the correct amount of flavor. can not wait to go back, one of the best eating / restaurant experiences we had in a long time.
I drove on Wednesday at 2 o'clock. it is a simple place, but with fantastic eating and service. it is not a surprise that it is not a Michelin guide. only cash and difficult to park. I am not a person who loves sharply, but even everything was sharp in the right amount, with the right hit. it is not very traditional, but very gourmet and elegant in taste. we have asked Veracruzana stone, fish tacos and concha negra mixto. the fishtacos had the perfect texture, like perfect tempura. it is very light and crispy, and you don't even think it's a fried fish in the middle. the concha negra was amazingly balanced in acid, textures and fresh. the Veracruzana stone is perfect if you enjoy a Mediterranean aesthetic with cap and olive. something that was different for us was the service. the owner took a good time to introduce us to the menu and the recommendation. it made a great difference in our experience. I'm sure I'll come back.
Indulge in a gastro-gasmic adventure at this hidden gem, where patience pays off. While you may have to wait long for a table at this cozy establishment (or better yet, visit during non-lunch hours on weekdays), you'll be rewarded with an exquisite selection of the most authentic Guatemalan ceviches in LA. Their menu also boasts an array of tantalizing Latin American seafood dishes, such as aguachiles, mejillones al mono de ajo, pescado Veracruzano, and shrimp curry. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you; this hole-in-the-wall spot is an absolute must-visit for any food lover! And of course those Chapines craving the ceviche de concha negra from home
