Amazing food, great service, we went in and KNEW the food would be great. And that's it! I highly recommend checking them out, their fried chicken is to die, and all their sides are phenomenal. Go hungry and leave so satisfied after making yourself embarrassed by making noises because it's just so damn good. I'll go back soon, you ruined me. Hopefully it helps! Have a nice rest of your day! It was much better, I use to order from them and it was delicious but this time my order disaster our chicken came soaked with oil, missing an itemBaby back rib was maybe boiled and threw some barbecue sauce over it, not good at allVery disappointed View all feedback.
I recently came here with a friend of mine and we both tried for the first time. He got the chicken sandwich and I got a four-part fried chicken (white meat) and catfish with lush puppies. My friend thought the chicken sandwich was the best he had ever tried, and miles better than all the fast foods that offered it. The whole chicken we got was perfectly juicy and kicked to perfection, everything I can say is excellent. I was glad to see the catfish and the cornea that it was a bit hard, but still great. The Mac cheese was very good and the pommes were amazing. The grain bread was extremely good and went amazingly with the honey she offered. The ladies were very nice and helpful in selecting options on the menu. Overall, the food was amazing and definitely worth a try when you? I'll think about it.
Excellent little spot for lunch or dinner. The staff ladies are extremely friendly and are happy to explain the menu to you. The food portions are huge; meats are perfectly cooked (ribs come right off the bone) and the sides are excellent (I highly recommend the mac n? cheese and the grilled sour dough).
Very authentic New Orleans style Cajun kitchen. you won't be disappointed. Smoothed Fried chicken is one of the favorites. It's not Morton's it's a small place the server's care about the food and experience. take the time to enjoy the experience and don't fret if it takes a little bit longer its worth it
It hurts to say, but this was the most REGRETTABLE food experiences I 've had. My family is against letting food go to waste if no one wants it, at least let our dog or cats have it but we ended up throwing out all the sides to the trash. Sometimes food is okay, could 've been better or just not your cup of tea, but this was downright horrendous and a waste of nearly $85. Just go to Popeye 's instead. I 'm not sure who I 'm more disappointed with: those who prepared the food or everyone that 's been giving this place four and five star reviews. We got fried chicken, shrimp jambalaya, chicken creole, chicken sandwiches, and sides (potato salad, toast, yams, greens, and clam chowder). I enjoy trying new cuisines here in the Valley, but I will not ever come back here even if the food was on the house and here 's why. First of all, we waited inside nearly 40 minutes for our food. While you look around at the Mardi Gras beads on the chairs and decorations on the shelves, t 's hard to not notice the stained floors. The linoleum has probably been like that for a long time, despite how many times they mop, but it certainly makes you wonder what condition the kitchen is in. So what right I thought. A lot of buildings in the valley haven 't been renovated for decades. Plus, its expensive and restaurants have overhead and staff to pay. At the end of the day we came for the food right? Now, the food itself was horrible. If I could describe it with a meme, it 'd be the middle aged white guy saying You 're not that guy pal. Trust me, you 're not that guy. My mom described the fried chicken as lacking seasoning, smelling funky, and tasting like it was fried in oil that had not been changed in a long time. My sister, who had a fried chicken sandwich, also said it tasted like old oil instead of the spicy Creole seasoning it is described as. My brother and I had the Chicken creole and shrimp jambalaya, respectively. It was reminiscent of middle school forcing myself to eat the cafeteria food cause I forgot my lunch at home. Worst of all were the sides (seen in the pictures above). The potato salad? Tasted like mayonnaise flavored whipped cream. The clam chowder? Gerber with specks of clam. The yams? Mush in a light watery cinnamon and sugar syrup. The greens? Salty, bitter, with the stems still on. Even the toast was bad: it tasted like the crumbs at the bottom of the toaster that haven 't been tossed out in a week. We were gonna get mac n cheese instead of yams, but our server said it was not great today, so if this was the best they had to offer....yikes. For a soul food restaurant, the food here has no soul. At best, its mediocre. At worst, just don 't come here in the first place. The food did not taste fresh and lacked flavor. For as long as we waited, you would expect the line to be out the door but it wasn 't. Seriously, waste of time and money.
This is the best New Orleans style food I have ever eaten. The Jambalaya here has become my benchmark for excellence. The flavors are outstanding, especially when paired with the brown sugar BBQ sauce. This restaurant truly excels at what they do.
