Toros Kebab - Chatswood

This is one of the many walk up sorta counter joints with a few booths to sit at where you can get just about any type of grub imaginable.

We wanted something quick to eat and my friends suggested the newly revamped Toros Kebabs. The new set up looks clean and modern and I specially like the Gozleme lady kneading and making fresh batch of gozleme. So I ordered a beef Gozleme with side salads and my friends ordered some kebabs. The serving and the presentation was good. The taste was a bit mild and average. weekendnotes.com

Toro's has undergone renovations and comeback looking slick and clean. The energetic boss keeps the show running like a well oiled machine. The place is so clean and the salads/condiments are so fresh it makes you reconsider the perception that kebabs are heavy fatty alcohol absorbing sponges. I have never warmed to the artificial looking processed lamb on the rotisserie but tonight the chicken looked well roasted and crisp.  The shish kebabs on the charcoal looked sensational as did the freshly made gozleme by the happy old lady working that station.  The chicken kebab was excellent with fragrant chicken and beautifully delicate salad is crisp to the mouth. The sauce was a bit light and bland without the garlic kick it needed to combine the salad and meat. It was however, easy to eat and not dripping in sauce. The only thing I regret is neglecting this place for so long assuming it was heavy and fatty.

The personal was fantastic! eating was stunning! great gluten free options!

Delicious food and always fresh. good value and the staff are very efficient and friendly! I have a sensitive like in the rule and can not eat in many kebab caffes, but toros in chatswood never lets me down. totally recommended!
