Tru's Grillhouse and Lounge - Chatham

It was ok, a little pricey for lunch but a good atmosphere overall. The entree I had you could tell the roast beef was day old but was not bad but probably better if it had been hot instead of lukewarm. The rest of our group said the same thing.

We had a one night stay in Chatham and unfortunately could not try some of the restaurants we had been hoping to visit based on reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. Instead we stumbled upon this restaurant and had a great meal. We were worried we were a bit casual but the hostess seated us and service was great and efficient. Steaks were very good and cooked perfectly. The one note I found was it was difficult to get a drink refill -- perhaps we are just more used to eating out in America where you empty a bar drink and at the next table visit you are asked if you would like another drink. This was our first visit to Canada as adults and this was something we noticed at multiple restaurants. Maybe America just upsells the drinks more than Canada. :-)

We went as a group of 10 during a recent dance competition. The food was delicious and although it wasn't cheap, it also was not overpriced. Service was good and food was delicious. We left fully satisfied!

If you're looking for a quick meal that isn't fast food, this place is it. The food was respectable (probably prepared in advance) and I was in and out in just over 30 minutes. I was surprised by how quickly the meal came, possibly too quickly. The food was fine, but not overly memorable. Staff was very polite and efficient.

Went with another couple with dinner reservations. Ordered right away and food was unimpressive at best. This is the second time we went there with the same couple as they wanted to give it another try hoping the menu would be different. It wasn't. There won't be a third. All 4 of us were of the same opinion.The food taste and the price charged for this quality of food is what is hurting their bottom line. If it were my restaurant I'd be looking for a new chef.
