Head West Sub Stop - Chatham

Vegetarians BEWARE!!! We ordered a VEGGIE TURKEY SUB, asked for extra VEGGIE turkey and even wrote this in the extra comments (ordered online). And alas, halfway thru our sub I see REAL turkey mixed in. Quite obvious as it is a totally different color/texture. Disgusting. We also tipped 20% upfront!! Called the manager who TALKED OVER ME and tried to say we ordered extra turkey when we stated CLEARLY on the order form online 'added extra Veggie turkey, Thank You. ' He essentially called us liars. By the way, WHY would someone order a vegetarian turkey sub and ADD REAL TURKEY? Apparently, that makes sense to the managers at headwest Chatham. As a matter of fact, we are DONE with headwest ENTIRELY! Hopefully other VEGETARIANS WILL SEE THIS AND TAKE HEED!

Best place to get a sub in Chatham, well...central Illinois area in my opinion. They really load the meat in the sandwiches and if you want a little extra of something they will hook you up with basically double whatever you're asking for, this does cost, but you get your money's worth. I like the online deal where I can get 2 subs, 2 chips, and a 2 liter for under $20. Delivery can be a little slow, but this is a very busy location so I give them a break on that.

The subs are prepared efficiently and the workers are very nice. Their sweet bread is the best in springfield

Good service and the food was just what I expected. Especially like the home made sweet bread. My sons favorite sandwich spot.

This was a good sub place. It's right by Subway, so we preferred a local place. I had a half of a Reuben and soup. My husband had a #8. We had one kids meal and my daughter had a half of a meatball sub.
