Very cosy Alpine ambience (lots of wood artifacts) and good selection of on tap beers including Guinness. Hadn 't realised before that it was an Anglo/French set-up with Rob being chef/patron Mathilde his French wife running the bar front of house along with their friendliest ever cute Golden Retriever puppy which all gave a buzzing and very convivial atmosphere. We both had the E33.50 set menu which was excellent value for the 4 courses each having a good selection of Savoy themed dishes. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and was so generously portioned we could not manage the cheese course at all. In fact the Savoyard salad starter was practically a meal in itself! Can easily see why it reviews so well as winter ski chalet/hotel. Would definitely recommend it for any time of year.

The charcuterie platter was adequate, with plenty of potatoes. The cheese portion was just enough for two people, nothing like the restaurants Les Cornettes or L'Atelier de Jacky in La Chapelle d'Abondance, where you leave with a truly full stomach.
