We visited this restaurant on our chalet staff’s night off. Sadly we were disappointed by our meal and particularly angry that we were served raw chicken. The person that received the raw chicken was pregnant also. This caused a great deal of distress and we had to leave quite abruptly. I spoke to the staff who apologised and said they would take it off the bill (it did appear on the bill after we sent it back! I tried to explain how unacceptable it was to serve raw chicken but this didn’t seem to be understood or taken seriously. I ordered the raclette with a friend which I was really looking forward to. Whenever I’ve ordered this before you get a large wheel of cheese and you eat what you want. We were served a small wedge which was too small to stay together and just fell apart. Some boiled potatoes, ham and salad all for the grand total of 50e also for two! We went to this restaurant last year and it was quite enjoyable. This year fell well below par sadly.
We booked a table for 4 in advance for my wife`s birthday on 18th March 2017.On arrival we were made to wait for a table while diners arriving later without a reservation were seated immediately. Of the four main courses ordered two were duck they arrived in good time. My duck was completely inedible. My guest struggled to eat some of her duck. The kitchen completely forgot the other two meals one of which was a vegetarian dish. When we complained the waitress rushed to the kitchen. After some time two further meals were brought out but the vegetarian dish had meat in eat. A Fawlty Towers of a restaurant but not the slightest apology from the staff. Indeed we were made to feel it was our fault. The experience completely ruined my wife`s celebratory dinner. We have owned let out an apartment in Chatel for 10 years. We have amended the information we give to guests to advise them to avoid this restaurant.
Not a great experience we cannot recommend this restaurant. We arrived to celebrate a special birthday having booked a table for 4 we were asked to wait while our table was prepared. Not a problem with that except 4 people came in after us who hadn't booked and were taken straight to a table. Starters arrived, staff noticed 2 of us were sharing a salad and presented a 2nd plate straight away. One guest had charcuterie, very enjoyable. 2 main courses of duck arrived. We had to start eating them as they were getting cold and had to chase up the other 2 meals. Having asked for no meat with the berthold for a vegetarian it came with full charcuterie. One of the duck dishes was inedible, the other was mediocre. At that point we decided we had had enough and didn't bother with dessert or coffee. We had to chase 2 waiters/waitresses to take payment and we refused to pay for the inedible duck meal. we wont be returning and cannot recommend the place to guests who stay in our apartment. Hugely disappointing.
A combination of bad service and unfortunately also bad food. Maigret de Canard which requires good jaws and also the beef filet far from tender. Salty and fluffy french fries for 7 EUR without even telling you!! Dishes don't arrive at the same time.....When confronting the staff to these habits, they at least took the fries of the bill but not open at all to any feedback- A clear signal that this kind of gastronomy is outdated and far from reality and the staff owner's are not customer orientated at all- a clear no go
So the food here might be on the expensive side, but for the discerning and frugal diner they should peruse the final two pages of the menu for the 'mont blanc ' and another more expensive set menu. We made an ascent of the culinary mt blanc, 24 euros for 2 courses, 29 for 3. Just had an amazing meal, if you want something a bit special and away from fondue/ractlette/tartiflette (which they serve if you can 't resist ordering traditional Savoyard fare for dinner as well as lunch) scale the mouth watering mt blanc menu! P.s service and surroundings were nice. It was very busy and the service was attentive and conscientious.

The first Swiss fondue, at the top: the cowrin brings an onctuosity, it is scented, the products are of quality. Quick service, smile. warm atmosphere. I saw a lot of dishes that seemed attractive to me ( desserts and dishes). a small exchange at the end of the meal. a good evening
Very warm welcome. Quick service. Very good food. The waiter was very friendly and humorous. and this despite our little agitated baby, I recommend this restaurant.
Typical decoration, smiling and user-friendly pattern, smiling servers and available. We have enjoyed the delight with their speciality in the reblochon for cheese lovers! but burger and meat piece also available!
The restaurant is friendly, the dishes are copied, good, but no more. tartiflette and delice reblochon were good. for the burger we didn't ask for cooking, but it was good. We were very disappointed with the linguine pasta with pizzaiole sauce: too many pasta, a little tomato sauce, and very little parmesan. So we didn't understand the originality of this dish. We ordered the kirs, but there was more cream than white, too sweet. but the most unpleasant was our waitress, no smile, for the service of wine: just open the bottle, not offered to taste, not served in the glasses, the way you managed all the evening you felt like beating it, we felt embarrassed. Even before ordering dessert, he was asked if it was not disturbing. Finally, we took the dessert just for the kid, the chocolate cruncher, my daughter loved him.
