Barbie's - Châteauguay
Barbie's
Description
Dorval Resto Bar Grill, formerly known as Barbie's, is a local favorite with a new name. While some diners have encountered issues with slow service and questionable food quality, others have praised the comfortable seating, parking availability, and tasty menu options like the California Club and Caesar Salad. The rebranding has brought a modern twist to the classic establishment, with a great bar area for sports fans and fantastic sweet potato fries. Despite some mixed reviews, the restaurant continues to offer a wide range of discounted dishes, making it a convenient choice for a satisfying meal in Dorval.

The place was empty when we arrived for lunch, yet I had to go find someone after standing at the hostess station for a while. As others arrived, staff seated us all next to each other versus spreading us out (even by one table) to avoid crowds. I wasn’t offered anything to drink, or even provided water, until we ordered our meal. Our empty glasses of water were never refilled, despite staff walking past our table with a full pitcher of water. Overall, service was very average! Food options and food were good. However, the waiter could not detail what was in the soup of the day, and didn’t offer an alternate side to replace the house salad that came with the quesadilla appetizer even though a Caesar salad was ordered as a second app. Seating in booths was comfortable. There’s plenty of free parking. Would most probably not return; there are other options with similar bar food and better service in the area.
Way overpriced! Indifferent welcome. No take out menu. Not going back. Too bad. A local place would be nice!
Barbie’s has been a long time fixture of Dorval and now it is back and new and gorgeous! A reimagining of the Barbie’s you knew and loved with a modern twist, exposed brick and stunning remodel Great bar area for watching the game and a great deal for a pitcher of a local beer and nachos. The sweet potato fries are also fantastic
This restaurant is permanently closed! I discovered this three weeks ago when I tried to visit for lunch, and it appears to still be closed now. I am confused as to why it is not removed from Groupon, RestoMontreal, and other platforms. Frustrating!
Service was slow ordered filet of sole it took about 40 minutes to get it, and when I tasted the fish, it was certainly not sole, it was thick, soft and mushy, and the sauce over it was stringy did not continue eating the fish ate some of the ceasar salad which was acceptable and some of the rice which was dry will not be returning to this restaurant
