Les Enseignes - Chateau-la-Valliere

We visited on a Sunday night on our way home to the UK. We were greeted and nicely welcomed by a chap who took time out to chat to us about our holiday and journey all in broken French/English. All of the staff were nice and attentive. The food was excellent, and they do take bank cards, so don't let that out you off. The business name is now Le Globe Trotteurs. Very pleased with our visit. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my birthday meal here. We sat outside as we had our dog with us. The inside looked nice and a better atmosphere. My partner's steak and chips was great but my paysanne pizza was tasteless. A random side salad was brought out after we'd nearly finished eating. Maybe a language barrier as our french isn't great. Good restaurant with a more than adequate quality/price ratio. Very tender meat which is not always the case in some restaurants. And above all it is rare to find cooking that is respected to the letter, especially for blue cooking, thank you for this quality. Unfortunately, we couldn't settle it by credit card... but that's a joke compared to certain criticisms. We are in a city and there is always a way to find a distributor.
