L'Estocade - Feedback

Superb meals in this establishment whose terrace on the edges of the Eure is not lacking in charm, the interior is quite nice). The kitchen is refined, smart associations, hard not to sauce its plate... In aperitif, a map of kirs, as impressive as inventive deserves all your attention! Good point also for excellent service, punctuated with humor. View all feedback.
What Rosanna Santoro dislikes about L'Estocade:
decus compared to our first visit. warm welcome and friendly waiters, but come ask us all the mn if everything goes well it is a little heavy. good but no more. little choice on the map. small asparagus in an entrance plate!! the frame is pleasant. View all feedback.

This restaurant is in a very old building close to the river below the cathedral. Delightful walks along the riverbank nearby. The food and service are very good.
Excellent service, the menu is extensive and very interesting. The food was amazing and I can't fault it. The chef is a genius in my opinion. Good value for money if you are looking for a posh meal without breaking the bank. Can be tricky if you don't speak French to understand what you are ordering but that's part of travelling and one shouldn't complain. There is outside seating which would even enhance the experience. Loved it and well worth a visit!
We had a nice dinner outside close to the river. The problem came late as when it was dark there only a few candles and it was bit difficult to see what you have on your plate. The food was good, not exceptional. We liked very much the kidneys with a Cognac sauce and the terrine of foie gras de canard. Prices for wine were reasonable.
We made a lunch stop on the way from Paris to Blois. The food was great. The taste was outstanding. Unfortunately the names of the dishes had not been appeared on the bill (3 adults, one bottle of wine, 90+E), so I am unable to recommend something special. Everything was decorated the way, that we thought that we are participants of the show.
Our second visit to this restaurant, and very happy to find they were open on a Sunday night - not a given in France.Food is delightful as is the location - right beside one of the small rivers that run through Chartres, away from the crowds in the tourist area around the cathedral. Very reasonable prices for the quality.

Very good reception, warm, very good cuisine with great fineness! Friendly and pleasant staff! Let's return with great pleasure!
Today, family meals of 5 people, perfect reservation and confirmation by mail, friendly welcome, service by a very professional team, dishes are delicious very delicate, a team accompanies you to make you spend a good time, bravo to all of you.
Arrive before the restaurant opens (10min). We had to wait in the rain before entering with 3mon ahead of booking. Excellent table service, the team is very reactive, we did not wait long between each dish. Inputs and dishes were excellent. We served a rhubarb cake with its raspberry mousse. Unfortunately in the middle of the cake it was still frozen. It's a shame that desserts aren't fresh. Ducoup it puts all the dishes in doubt. Good quality price
