We could not have been happier; it was the best French meal we had during this two-week visit, and compared very favorably with meals over our decades of visits to France. We asked for the best French meal in Chartres, and got it.

Une petite table pour deux en te... read more Nous y allons souvent pour prendre un petit café mais un dimanche nous avons déjeuné en terrasse. L'accueil est toujours sympa. Une petite table pour deux en terrasse avec vue cathédrale, il n'y a rien plus jolie. Malgré le monde, nous sommes bien servis. Nous avons mangé un gravlax de saumon qui était juste parfait et ensuite nous avons pris tous les deux du poisson: le thon blanc mi-cuit et le bar grillé. Les plats étaient bons, petit bémol la cuisson du thon qui était plutôt bien cuit. À refaire!

The pra... read more Good location by the Cathedral, went for dinner based on good reviews but left disappointed. My wife and I both chose prawn risotto for our main course. The prawns hadn't been cleaned I. e. Still had their poo tracks left in, yuk, inexcusable! The tails were left on, don't know why when you can't eat them and it's messy removing them. The rice was barely recognisable as rice, it was just mush. The parfait starter was ok but not great. We felt it was a case of style over quality. Not impressed.
