What 427nicolao doesn't like about The Wheatsheaf Inn:
Very disappointed with my visit to the Wheatsheaf. Went for lunch, but no lunch menu available. After enquiring if sandwiches were available, the barman read the menu from the till behind the bar. All very odd!!! We opted for BLT from the very limited choice that we were offered. We were the only people in the pub I now understand why that was) , didn’t have to wait very long for the food. read moreThe Wheatsheaf has been a long-standing favorite for many locals, but recent changes to the menu and prices have left some disappointed. While the new gastropub food is tasty, it may not justify the higher costs. Some visitors have found the menu limited and prices steep, with dishes like a disappointing vegetarian lasagna. On the positive side, the Wheatsheaf still maintains a cozy, traditional pub atmosphere, with friendly staff and good selection of ales. Despite some mixed reviews, the Wheatsheaf's skittle alley made for a successful event for a sports club, showcasing the venue's potential for group gatherings.
