What racheljane33 doesn't like about The Post Office Tea Rooms:
Very overpriced for the food and drinks that we had. Breakfast was okay. But the coffee and smoothies were not good. I don’t mind paying over £40 for breakfast if the food matched the price. View all feedback.
Came here brunch and managed to get a table as it was a weekday. the staff was friendly, eating was average, but hot chocolate was really good.

The restaurant's ambiance is great, but the prices have significantly increased. Paying £5.50 for a simple bacon sandwich is a bit much. We have been regular customers for years, but now find the food to be overpriced. We'll stick to ordering drinks, especially the generous pot of tea that we love.
We came for Mother's Day lunch after a walk at Bradgate Park and were fortunate enough to secure a table. The food arrived promptly, hot and fresh. Despite reading a review claiming the prices were high, we found them to be reasonable considering the location. The café is situated opposite one of the most beautiful places in Leicester. The only reason I have given a rating of 4 instead of 5 is due to a malfunctioning till, resulting in a long wait to place our order (which was not the staff's fault, as they were lovely) and the table not being cleaned before our food arrived, requiring me to tidy it myself. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime, but it would have been nice to have the tables cleared more regularly.
We recently enjoyed a light lunch at this cafe for the second time. Both times, we chose to sit outside in the lovely rear outdoor area, which has plenty of seating. Despite the slight chill in the air, the seating was comfortable and there were blankets available to help keep us warm. We particularly enjoyed the toasted sandwiches and the coffees were also delicious. While the food was tasty, it was a bit on the pricey side. The staff were friendly during both visits. They also had dog treats available for purchase, although these were also quite expensive.
