Rising Sun - Charnwood

Just had a great takeaway meal from here tonight it was very tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back

Since what appears to be a change of ownership or chef, the rising sun has gone downhill. The dishes seem to be smaller than before and the taste seems to have been lost. This is the third time I have had a Rising Sun since the change and it will be the last. Dishes were tasteless, salt and pepper chips resembled cardboard with no proper crisp or flavour and the amount of meat/fish seems to have decreased per portion. All in all, I am very dissatisfied and will be going else where in the future.

Partner and I have tried all the Chinese takeaways and this is the best out of those in Mountsorrel. Best for price for taste and quantity. We’ve never had a bad experience from them and would recommend.

Dim sum absolutely tasteless, no seasoning and no idea what the filling was, I ate one and the rest ended up in the bin...Sweet n Sour spare ribs..6 skinny ribs at just under £1 each was a total rip off, 2 had been refried from a previous cooking and the sauce was tasteless day glo orange gloop ?..The spring rolls were both very greasy and one had very little meat in it..I will never order food from there again.

Me and my partner ordered from here a good few times with orders costing £32-£60 something. we order through just eat and never had a problem, food was nice no complaints on the food but... and this is not just rising sun, as i said we ordered on the just eat app for some reason it changed our address we saw it as it was about to get delivered, we phoned up rising sun to say that it had the wrong address on it, it had already been delivered, we knocked on the address it had meant to have gone to and they said yes they came but we turned it down saying we didn't order it, the lady on the phone at rising sun had said that was right and was delivered to another address, next door. My point here is why wasn't we phoned when the first place turned it down. the lady on the phone even said that it was delivered to the address on the ticket when she herself knew it wasn't she told us where it had been supposedly delivered but the people that live there are not in so even tho it had an address they delivered it to a completely different address not the one on the ticket. As for just eat they are a waste of time trying to get hold of. So sum it up rising sun use the excuse it's just eats problem and just eat well good luck trying to get somewhere with them rising sun and just eat lost a customer today. in the end they should have phoned our number to simple ask what address when the family they tried to deliver to turned it away.
