The new vegan/vegetarian menu is absolutely amazing. They offer the same traditional meals, but in vegan options, and the portions are very generous. The staff is extremely friendly, dogs are welcome (even inside), and gluten-free options are available. It's advisable to make a reservation, especially during peak season. View all feedback.
What LauraMu doesn't like about Royal Oak Inn:
The menu at this restaurant was impressive, with a separate vegan/vegetarian menu that was easy to identify. We ordered the vegan fish and chips, kids pasta with plant balls, and nachos. The food was tasty, but it took a very long time to be served. Despite there being only one other occupied table when we arrived for our reservation, our food took well over an hour to arrive. The food at this restaurant was nice, but the ice-cream scoops were small and pricey. Despite this, the ice-cream was delicious. The service was average. The prices were on the higher side for a pub, more in line with restaurant pricing. On average, diners can expect to spend between £30-40 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, the service a 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 3 out of 5.
The food at this restaurant is delightful. They offer a fantastic selection of local ales and the service is excellent. It's a popular pub, so I would suggest making a reservation in advance. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.
This pub is fantastic whether you're looking for a meal or just a drink. The staff is welcoming and professional, and they are very accommodating to dogs. They always have great vegetarian and vegan options available. The average cost per person is between £20-30. Food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic, with a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free options available! We tried the vegan and gluten-free large "broken fish," and it was amazing. The portion size was generous and we were very satisfied. Dogs are welcome inside and outside, and there were at least three vegan gluten-free options to choose from. Overall, it was a great experience!
The restaurant staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed eating in front of the beautiful fire in the wood burner. We ordered the Sunday roast beef, which was excellent, and the vegetables were also delicious. We discovered this place on the dog-friendly pubs website, so our two Labs were warmly welcomed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!
