A compact spot serving authentic Honduran fare—standout baleadas and sopes, especially chicken—at fair prices with generous portions. The kitchen earns consistent praise and the women who run the place are warm and accommodating, making it a go-to for breakfast and visitors seeking genuine flavors. However, the dining room is small and often crowded, the TV can be intrusive, service can be uneven (late or missing items), and multiple patrons reported cleanliness and food-safety concerns, so cautious diners should weigh the experience against those risks.
I just want to say that whoever is doing the cooking at this place is amazing! This is the best Honduran food I’ve ever had! The only suggestion I have is that the checkout clerks could improve their customer service.
The cleanliness score is fairly low, and the service leaves much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The food was tasty, especially the sopes; I found the chicken to be better than the beef. However, the service was a bit odd. The dishes for us—just two people—never came out together. My food consistently arrived much later than my companion's, who is Latino. The restaurant was small and rather crowded, and there were quite a few beggars outside the door.
During my visit from Miami, I came here for breakfast with my boyfriend, and I can confidently say this is the place to go for authentic Honduran food. The food was absolutely delicious, and all the ladies working there were incredibly sweet, polite, and welcoming. You truly get the best experience possible here.
Update: I got sick after eating the chicken sopes at this restaurant, which has a rating of 87.5. Additionally, the TV was extremely loud, and we had to ask them to turn it down. I won't be returning. The place felt dirty and unpleasant, although the food itself was good. I tried the sopes, and the chicken was better than the beef. The service was a bit odd, as they never brought our dishes out at the same time—my food always arrived much later than my companion's, who is Latino, while I'm not. It's a small restaurant, and it felt quite cramped. There were also many beggars outside the door.
