Had a great late lunch. Our server was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. We had the meatballs and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and had cheese pizza, BBQ wings, Stromboli, and chicken Alfredo. Food came out pretty quick and hot. All in all was a good experience. What Myra Wesk doesn't like about Hawthorne's New York Pizza And Highland Creek:
We have been coming here for over 10 years. Unfortunately it is no longer a good place for us. We came here tonight, we come once a month approx. The last few times the tables are dirter and dirter. The plates and silverware are all covered in a layer of something. Even requesting more plates just brings more of the same. The wait staff hasn't been trained properly on how to carry glasses and plates. They carry them... View all feedback.
Located in strip mall a number of tables with bar, nothing special but clean and service was very good. Also provide a great deal of take-out. Nice selection of menu items and server suggestions were very good. We had 2 pizzas; Buffalo chicken and white along with. Ceasars salad and it was all very good. Overall, very good experience
Shout out to Jen, best server out there. Stromboli was reallll good
Ordered via ubereats. Being new to the city, it helps with trying new places, and if the food is great I return. Thursday, I ordered both the Cajun Pasta, the Lasagna, and a side of meat sauce. To my surprise, the Cajun dish had a good sauce to pasta ratio. The Lasagna however had so much meat sauce that I didn't even need the side. In fact, it was literally drowning. I now have plenty of meat sauce left over to create a 2 serving spaghetti meal. In fairness, maybe if I went in person, the portion would be scaled back. The main reason I'm giving 3 stars is because both dishes were EXTREMELY OILY! I hope in the future they consistently drain the proteins and choose better quality cheeses/dairy products because these dishes screamed heart attack and high cholesterol. I would've given a 4 because the flavors met my expectations, but I dislike having to fix the dish by separating the meat sauce pool and then draining off the excess oil.
The first time I had Hawthorne's was at the location on 7th Street. I had such an amazing veggie pizza (light cheese) with garlic knots, I decided to try the Highland Creek location which is closer to my home. I placed the same order as I did when I visited the location on 7th Street. My veggie pizza was the worst veggie pizza I've ever had in my entire life. No Exaggeration. The pizza barely had any vegetables, and when I asked for light cheese, the cheese was not light, it was more like a sprinkle, barely any cheese and barely any sauce. In addition, the pizza was slightly burnt, but not in a good way. The only positives were the garlic knots, and the friendly staff at this location. Moving forward, if I ever have a hankering for any pizza I will go to the 7th Street location or to my local Domino's. Update: December 2nd, 2023 The restaurant reached out to me and apologized. They sent me a gift card for a replacement pizza. Since then I've bought about 3 more veggie pizzas, at separate times, from this location and each one has been delightful. Definitely a positive turnaround from the first time at this location. If you're in the area, please stop by.
