Every time I visit the Matthews location, I notice there's usually a line of around 20 cars. However, they manage to move people through fairly quickly, which is impressive, especially since it's 3 in the morning and many customers are likely drunk or high, making order-taking a bit tricky. The food arrives quickly, and from my numerous visits to this location, it's accurate about 95% of the time. The staff is friend... View all feedback.
What Marin Babić doesn't like about Cook Out:
The food was decent although I'm not sure who decided to put this massive leaf in my burger? The burger was soggy and covered with ketchup and mustard. The temperature was good, the service was good, and the rest of the order was accurate! Maybe a little QC is okay! View all feedback.
The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered quesadillas that were good. There was handicapped parking. The music was too loud.
I returned to the restaurant just before 5:00 to explain the mix-up. The clerk at the window was quite unhelpful. I told her what I had originally ordered and that this was not what I received. Another staff member handed me a box of onion rings. When I pointed out that it was just the onion rings, the window clerk insisted that I had already eaten the burger. If I had treated a customer like that during my time at an international home improvement store, I would have faced serious consequences. Unfortunately, Cookout has lost my business. The lesson learned here is to check your order before leaving the parking lot.
This place isn't anything extravagant, but it's perfect for a quick lunch. I enjoyed a cheddar-style burger with fries, some white cheddar bites, and a Snickers Oreo shake. Delicious!
I'm not from the area—I'm from Idaho—but Cook Out is honestly the best thing I've ever experienced. We opted for takeout since the drive-thru line is always incredibly long, but despite their constant busyness, they manage to serve quickly. It's not quite as fast as Chick-fil-A, but definitely quicker than many other places. The food is absolutely delicious, although it’s not the healthiest option at all, yet I find myself returning again and again because it's just so addictive. And by the way, the walnut shake is the best!
I ordered the cheddar-style burger, and it was even better than I anticipated. The cheese curds were tasty, and I added some onion rings, which were fine (I usually prefer battered to breaded). However, the fries were a bit lukewarm, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I appreciated the customization options. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m near one of their locations.
