My family and I go there once a week. Conveniently located within Harris Teeter so I can shop while they're making our food fresh. The owners are very friendly. I've never had anything there that I didn't love. Our favorites are crab Rangoon, sesame chicken, house Lo mein, Mongolian beef, and general TSO chicken. We always get extra white rice because the portion size is enough for two meals. It's take out only obviou... View all feedback.
What Christopher Brown doesn't like about Chi Thai:
The flavors are certainly on a decent level but every time I have ordered from them there's been just something to dislike about each dish. Currently the pad thai is so dry and chopped up until teeny little pieces that is just not enjoyable. View all feedback.
If you flash, you can miss this place. It is actually in a Harris Teeter grocery store. Strange location, but really good food. There are obviously no tables. It's strictly taken. They have both Chinese and Thai foods, as their name says. I just had the Chinese food. Her egg rolls are one of the best I had. They were always hot and crispy. Not as bad as he was fried and waiting for someone to order some. The filling is very tasty and not filled with the reddish/rosa roast pork like many places in Charlotte. Very well seasoned. I want to say that I was in Charlotte. The only bottom was that they don't have the real homemade hot mustard. Sesame Chicken was good. A little too much sauce for my taste, but still very delicious. The chicken-lo-my was also very good and a lot of it. So strange as it is to order Chinese food from in a grocery store, this will be one of my favorite places to eat.
If you blink, you might miss this place. It’s actually located inside a Harris Teeter Grocery store. Strange location but really good food. There are no tables obviously. It’s strictly takeout. They have both Chinese and Thai food as their name implies. I've only had the Chinese food. Their Egg Rolls are one of the best I've had. They were always hot and crispy. Not soggy like its been fried and sitting waiting on someone to order some. The filling is very tasty and not filled with the reddish/pink roast pork like a lot of places in Charlotte. Very well seasoned. I would like to say it the best so far that I've had in Charlotte. The only down side was that they don't have the real homemade hot mustard. The Sesame Chicken was good. A bit too much sauce for my taste but still very tasty. The chicken lo-mein was very good as well and a lot of it. As strange as it is to order Chinese food from inside a grocery store, this is going to be one of my favorite places to eat at.
Ordered for delivery. Chicken was rubbery and flavorless as were the vegetables. Everything I ordered was bad. I didn't think it was possible to mess up fried rice but the fried rice was bland with a weird chemically aftertaste. Even the fortune cookies were bad. Yet another restaurant proving there's no good Chinese food in Charlotte.
Great portion size and taste. It is a bit pricey for chinese takeout, though. I haven't tried their Thai food just yet, but the quality is definitely good in the chinese food department. Some of their fried chicken entrees do feel old, especially the sweet entrees. But if you go for something other than that, the food is awesome.Food: 5/5
