What Arleen Carpenter doesn't like about Monahan's By The Cove:
It wasn't very good. Chowder was bland and clam cakes were heavy with oil. We went on a Monday and thought the chowder must have been the weekend leftovers ... The potatoes were mushy and the red broth had turned burnt orange from age. My husband got a full belly clam roll and it was skimpy. We went here for Lunch, it is now Monahans Clams. I got whole belly clams dinner for $21.99. Which is a good price , there were plenty of clams ,tasted very good Cole slaw was very good , would have liked a little more slaw and the French Frys are perfect. Going back for chowder Clam cakes. It was closed!! We were there on a Monday at about 1:30pm. We walked from Burlingame Campground only to find them closed. Someone needs to update hours on this...
