The filet mignon I had was the best I’ve ever tasted! And the dessert waffle? Absolutely fantastic! We will definitely return.

The food was excellent, and the service was delightful. I particularly loved the pasta!

I believe that between the food and the people, there’s no better dining spot in Charleston, WV than The Block. The culture I’ve experienced there reflects the employees' and managers' skill in combining competence with empathy. The staff is patient, knowledgeable, and consistently provides timely service. Thank you for always being a fantastic restaurant, but even more so, for having such GREAT PEOPLE.

Great service. Excellent food. Had the Lamb chops and the short ribs with the scallops appetizer. Glass of recomeded wine and it was a great experience. Discount because I was staying at the Hampton inn. All good !

I ordered the scallops over risotto, while my partner opted for the crab cakes, accompanied by delicious mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. Everything we had was excellent and well-prepared. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from steaks to seafood, and the appetizers looked so appealing that we’re already planning to come back just to try a few for dinner. They also have a full bar with a nice selection of microbrews. I sampled a stout and a raspberry wheat beer, both of which were great. Since it was her birthday, my partner received a complimentary glass of wine and a free dessert—a warm skillet brownie topped with ice cream, which was heavenly! A kind customer even sang “Happy Birthday” to her in a lovely voice. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend you give it a try—you won't be disappointed!
