I hate to say it, but I was disappointed with the new menu. We are regular guests at HoM and never had a bad burger. We enjoyed the constantly changing menu, but also appreciate that burgers we loved remained. Every time I visit family or friends from town, here I take them. And every time they say it's the best burger they've ever had. I came with family today and we were all shocked at the changes that our favorites were gone and we didn't recognize anything on the menu. Don't get me wrong, the burger was a good burger, but it was nothing like before. The BURGER itself was great, so I tore the local beef. It was all we missed. The previous menu had a way to take you out of your comfort zone and because there are not many basic burgers on the menu, you did not have much of a choice but to get something you were not used to. Every burger had complex taste and never disappointed. Seeing a simplified menu made us sad today. When I come to HoM, I have an unusual burger. I don't want salad, tomatoes or Mayo. I can drive the block down to Five Guys. I want the Aioli, Remoulade, Egg, Chutney, Truffle Senf, etc. The new menu was a little pretentious and nothing jumped on us. We love HoM and hope that the new cook will be creative in the coming months and offers a menu with more variety and interesting flavors. However, staff never disappoints. Charlotte was great, and Zach is always a pleasure to see!
I absolutely adored this hidden gem! It was one of the top restaurants we visited on our entire road trip. I highly recommend trying everything on the menu as we enjoyed a great variety of dishes. If you have the chance, make sure to include a meal here in your plans.
