Contribute FeedbackFIG restaurant in Charleston has received mixed reviews from diners. While some were disappointed in the quality of their meal, citing dry bread and wordy menu descriptions, others raved about the softshell crab, escarole salad, salmon, and fish stew. The rotating menu based on fresh, local ingredients seems to be a hit with patrons, who enjoyed dishes like Slow Roasted Berkshire Pork Loin and Yukon Gold Potato Puree. The service was praised by many, and the overall dining experience was described as life-changing and worth the wait. The restaurant has even been compared to other top establishments in America. Overall, FIG seems to provide a unique dining experience that is well-loved by many, despite some occasional hiccups.
Excellent service and food. This place is a classic Charleston restaurant for a reason. Highly recommended to start off with the gnocchi as an appetizer...they were so light and pillowy.
We had a great meal at FIG. The service was outstanding. Definitely someplace I would go back to when in Charleston. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I struggle to think about what rating to give FIG. First I must emphasize, this is a 100/person restaurant. Were the dishes we had tasty? Yep they were. We got the ricotta gnocchi, snapper, and the bouillabaisse. Finished with the panna cotta dessert. What I can say is that the gnocchi was supper fluffy and you can barely taste the potato. The ricotta wasn't too rich and the ragu sauce helped add a punch to the flavor. Ranks really high on my favorite gnocchis. The bouillabaisse and snapper? They were good, but I didn't quite see why it was $50/per good. Was the bread in the bouillabaisse well done, yep, but just not enough for me to justify the purchase. The panna cotta had some fresh fruit and basil slivers on it and it was a very nice balance of sweetness, tart, and freshness as a finishing dish. Overall, I think if you want a nice vibe, don't care about cost, and want something on the healthier side, this place is probably for you. However, if you don't fall in all of those buckets, I just don't think it's worth at the price point.
Extremely friendly service. Beautiful art deco decor. Food was also great. I think it was the best panna cotta I've ever had. The eggplant spread was very good too. My husband loved his food Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian small plates. They also created a vegetarian entree for me Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
