Last week, I dropped by and was very saddened to see that El Rancherito in Charleston had shuttered its doors forever. I had so many good timeless memories here dating back to 2005, and along the way the food and service, and margaritas, have always been superb. This location was my go-to for Mexican food in the Charleston/Mattoon/Urbana-Champaign area. Maybe someday it'll reopen so more memories can be made here. View all feedback.

A Saturday afternoon, party of 6. The food was adequate and nothing special. The Guac was bland and flavorless with obvious dark green food coloring to mask that it was not fresh. El Ranch is a great place for no frills Mexican food. Consistently
The food was okay. Our waitress was very obnoxious. And it was a little bit chilly where we were seated.

I loved the variety of menu items. The service was great. The food was delicious. I will certainly be going back.
