I came across an advertisement for this restaurant in the news and initially wanted to visit their new location in North Charleston, but since they were closed... read more I came across an advertisement for this restaurant in the news and initially wanted to visit their new location in North Charleston, but since they were closed on Sunday, I opted for the downtown location instead. For my appetizer, I tried the chicken enchilada. While the filling was a bit bland, the outer shell was perfectly fried. I ordered a pineapple coconut drink, which was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I went with the coconut chicken, and it was another fantastic dish bursting with flavor. The plantains were sweet and satisfying. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend stopping by for a unique twist on Cuban cuisine. I even heard some Celia Cruz playing in the background!

Both dishes were delicious, but if you only order one, I would choose the Cuban with green frits. I also loved the free cucumber water!

Don't even get me started on the Green Fries loaded with cilantro, parmesan, diced pickles and some sort of Cuban crack green sauce that was DELICIOUS! I only ate half and am stuffed. I'll be back Cuban Gypsy Pantry! Thank you for bringing authentic Cuban cuisine!
