Was Brooke at Chubby Fish a mag?
Wow! Best meal we have had since our time in Seattle. The vibe is super cool. Listen to the staff! They know each dish in and out and can recommend the best. The menu changes with what’s in season and fresh. We were lucky to have the cobia tataki which was out of this world! The whole fishes looked incredible. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is special. Don’t miss this gem of South Carolina and beyond. View all feedback.
I can't recommend this place highly enough! It's a fantastic experience, with chef James London bringing his culinary vision to life. My expectations were high, and Chubby Fish truly exceeded them. The dishes we tried included cobia tataki, flounder crudo, octopus salad, chili shrimp, grilled snapper, roasted flounder, mackerel curry, and a unique oatmeal blueberry ice cream sandwich, as well as waffle ice cream with roasted chicken—definitely an unexpected twist! The flavors were fresh and exciting, enhanced by some delightful surprises. I particularly enjoyed the large glasses of rosé, especially the Sancerre. I can't wait to return again and again!
Amazing menu, fantastic atmosphere, and wonderful staff! Everything was exceptional, but the bone marrow and curry were outstanding! I will definitely be coming back frequently!
Absolutely amazing food and service! We followed our waiter's recommendations and were thrilled with our choices—oysters, tomato bread, smoked mackerel, whole snapper, and waffles were all outstanding. Sitting at the kitchen bar was a fantastic experience, allowing us to watch the meal preparations. This is a wonderful new spot in Charleston, and I can’t wait to return!
Service was amazing! Our waitress Mandy knows everything regarding all dishes and wines! Great job. Restaurant is a little bit pricey, caviar sandwich for 18$ definitely not worth it??????????? I loved beef tartar and chicken dessert there, overall veryinteresting experience.
Great little neighborhood spot. Get there early as line forms for the first round of diners. The entire place sits about 30. Plates come out in bunches of what was ordered from the whole restaurant. Chef creates the menu each day depending on availableingredients. If you don?t get in on the first turn, head over to Elliotborough Mini Bar just around the corner for some drinkswhile you wait!
