My expectations were high,... read more I can't recommend this place highly enough! It's a fantastic experience, with chef James London bringing his culinary vision to life. My expectations were high, and Chubby Fish truly exceeded them. The dishes we tried included cobia tataki, flounder crudo, octopus salad, chili shrimp, grilled snapper, roasted flounder, mackerel curry, and a unique oatmeal blueberry ice cream sandwich, as well as waffle ice cream with roasted chicken—definitely an unexpected twist! The flavors were fresh and exciting, enhanced by some delightful surprises. I particularly enjoyed the large glasses of rosé, especially the Sancerre. I can't wait to return again and again!

We followed our waiter's recommendations and were thrilled with our choices—oysters, tomato bread, smoked mackerel, whole snapper, and waffles were all outstanding. Sitting at the kitchen bar was a fantastic experience, allowing us to watch the meal preparations. This is a wonderful new spot in Charleston, and I can’t wait to return!
