Was Brice Waters at 82 Queen a mag?
82 Queen was such a special treat. The staff was more than friendly on arrival. We didn't have a reservation, but I felt like it wasn't a bad idea to get one before we dined there. The food was amazingly delicious with tons of taste. Never had her crab soup and it was amazing. Treat yourself to a good meal in southern style. View all feedback.

What Alabamafoodie dislikes about 82 Queen:
I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening and it was not too crowded. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. We were given menus when we sat down but our server did not take our drink orders. She came back to take our dinner order quickly, but forgot to bring the bread we were promised. The soup came out promptly, followed by our main courses. However, she brought the wrong salad and when it was replaced, it was... View all feedback.

The soup was very salty. Heirloom tomato and cucumber salad was ordinary cherry tomato instead of the delicious juicy slices. Coconut curry whole snapper was rubberized and tasteless. We can't even cut through the skin. However, staff were kind to comp dinner and we just paid for our drinks. Have to tip waiter well as he lost his deal on our table

Recently I had the pleasure of attending this fine dining establishment and I can tell you that the experience was exquisite. I've been to numerous restaurants during restaurant week and the quality, service and ambience are usually lackluster but hereat 82 Queen that was not the case. The appearance of the restaurant itself was very reminiscent of that old Charleston charm. The wait staff were finely groomed and overall the appearance of the restaurant was very easy on the eyes. Walking up the stairsto our table with Old Charleston brick surrounding me, dark stained wooden floors beneath me and dim lighting upon me gave thewarm feeling of a prohibition era speakeasy. I must say that the food was equally impressive. The cuisine was nothing short ofmagnificent. From the freshness and flavor my taste buds were tingling. Nothing was out of place. 82 Queen has definitelyskyrocketed itself into my top five fine dining restaurants in Charleston.

This place has great reviews so we came all the way here to try. It was pretty and had great atmosphere. We had crab soup, jambalaya and crab cakes. The she crab soup was unbearably salty. We had to drink up all the water after we had one spoonful.Decided to send it back unfortunately. The rice in crab cakes was also so salty. Jambalaya was pretty good. Also got kids pasta- the pasta was good but chicken on top had so much salt on it as well. Maybe the chef recently got Covid? (No offense and I?mquite serious) The waitress and staff are very friendly.
