Tj's Pit Stop - Charles Town

I had a wonderful time! This is one of the few places on the road that really lets you park your semi and have enough room for us truckers. My server, Paula, was excellent. The food is your typical Americana and the atmosphere was superb, classical American. While you eat you can peer out of the wonderful West Virginian countryside. Exquisite.

Decided to come for an early lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This is a sweet little diner with a family-friendly atmosphere. You could come in here after a bad day and just know everything's okay. The coffee was fantastic. The club was unbelievable with thick cut meat and the pommes were also perfect. We ended up with pancakes a la fashion. Overall very happy (and full) customers for a reasonable price!

Second time in this diner and again, they are not disappointed. I ordered the Hamburger Steak with Cole Slav and potatoes with engraving. My husband had the chicken steak with Mac n cheese and pommes. My meal was delish, the only thing I wanted the least was the potatoes. I don't care that potatoes are lubricated with skin and buds. It was more like a baked potato. I prefer butter and cream. But these fries! I usually don't order pommes unless it's McDonalds, but their freshly cut pommes were roasted to perfection and tasty. I'll order the next time. The claw was good. It's not a grandmother, but it was close. The Hamburg steak was tender and tasty. The Mac n cheese was also good. The man enjoyed the chicken steak. He cleaned his plate completely and helped with the crushed potato. I finished the meal with a black raspberry milkshake. It was perfect! The waitress was friendly and attentive. We're coming back!

Wow, and I mean wow. Trust me to order steak and cheese sandwich, do not listen to sandwich sub. When we hear steak and cheese, we think thin slices of steaks. No. That's a piece of steak, and yes, it's risky, but the boy pulled it out. I talk in every bite melted in my mouth, no hard or fat break at all. Very delicious. Must try. And great hospitality.

Stop at a late lunch. Eating is what you expect from a diner, but everything is very good. I held in a strange time and was the only person there, but service was good.
