The room we stayed in was quite small, but the beds and pillows were very comfortable, leading to a good night's sleep for both of us. The meal we had at this restaurant was excellent - we each ordered different dishes and both were delicious. The menu had a good selection of options to choose from. There were also some great local beers available, and we tried a few that were recommended to us. For breakfast, we enj... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Bowl Inn:
The service was slow and some items on the menu were not available. Three of us did not receive our main courses. We were very disappointed as we had previously enjoyed excellent meals at this restaurant twice before on Sundays. View all feedback.
Attended this evening as a group of 5 for a birthday meal together as a family. It was nice to choose our own table. We all had mains but only 2 had deserts. All meals were lovely and just the right amount. None of us had a bad word to say about the food. Enough on the menu for vegetarians I felt with a few options available. I had the falafel and spinach burger and it was nice, but would be open to trying the tartlet which also sounded like a tempting option. Burgers for the 2 of the other looked great and they said they were lovely. Haven't got a bad word to say about this visit and the waitress looking after us was very nice too, very friendly and was good at asking for drinks and seeing that we have a pleasurable visit so thank you.
I loved this placeThe staff were super-great at making you feel at home. Friendly, helpful but not intrusive. The food was excellent, I had the fishcake starter as a main which was just right (only slight downer was that the chef put sugar in the porridge for my breakfast before it got to me, (sugar is evil) I would have moaned but was on the clock.)The room was lovely, clean, well thought out and modern despite this being a very old pub. I slept like a baby, possibly due to the sound of rain, but the whole place is peaceful and lovely. I ran in the morning a nice little 2 mile loop in the rain and for a while loved Kent and life.
Great atmosphere. Super beer. Nice food, except we found the filet steak had a tainted' taste. Mentioned it to the wait staff who agreed the smell was not quite right, but we heard no more. I didn't finish mine. Shame but would still go again as I'm sure was not a generalised issue.
One of the best bespoke inns I've stayed in, helpful , service was great and the room was amazing!!
Excellent food, and a wonderful sming restaurant team, will definitely be back.
