Excellent service, comfortable surroundings and a very relaxed atmosphere. A great joy to have eaten there!

We had the Menu Complet each which was a c... read more An exquisite meal, very light and not heavy or rich. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about each dish. We had the Menu Complet each which was a course meal. However we lost track of the courses because of the wonderful...little treats (amuse bouche) that the chef prepared. Our experience of Michelin starred restaurants is quite vast now, but this one was one of the best we’ve been to as each dish was served like a piece of art yet tasted light and beautifully balanced not heavily seasoned or rich with butter at all. A romantic, delicious, course dinner served in our room, a delightful walk around the property and gardens and a comfortable...room! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

It also has the feel of a working restaurant, with the sta... read more The restaurant has ambience it's a good space which allows the buzz of conversation to wash over you. It also has the feel of a working restaurant, with the staff focused on ensuring that you have a good time. There was clearly one less...experienced waitress, but she did very well over the course of the evening I'm sure it's only confidence she lacks. We had the course tasting menu which was challenging for the chef because my partner is mostly vegetarian. One dish they created for her (it bore no relationship with any other dish on the menu) was a triumph of pasta and cheese or that's what I was told by her! In fact, the whole meal was gorgeous with a range of flavours, textures and ingredients for both of us. The wine list contained some very well-priced wine (a pleasure and we had a very decent Cahors which accompanied the dishes very well. Service was excellent, the room full of people and conversations and it was, all in all, an excellent evening. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for here! Thanks to all the staff!
