What a gem. Surrey House looks like just that: a house. Once inside you feel like you've stopped in at a friend's home for a meal. Our server was about the friendliest guy in the world. The menu is basically country home-cooking. Food was great, and prices are quite reasonable. I would definitely eat there again if I found myself in town View all feedback.
What Nikki S doesn't like about Surrey House:
Went for the first time and food wasn’t bad however the service was pretty bad. Took a while just to get the server to bring our drinks, then took a while to get the order. After we got the food he never came back once. I went looking for him to try and get ketchup for the food but never found him and again I had to get up to try and find somebody for to go items. I will add it wasn’t busy at all, one other table was... View all feedback.
You know you’re special when the owner makes your favorite meal as the special just because you’re in town! The meatloaf and fried green tomatoes are amazing! And the cornbread salad is unmatched! Thanks, Katie! Dinner was delicious as always!
Nice restaurant. Had the blt plate just didn't have enough bacon. Will go back but will try something else
Went to Surrey House for the first time last night with family who had been there before and recommended the place. Got there and there was a large party taking up the dining room so they seated us right next to the kitchen which was fine. Saw that they had Monte Cristo Sandwiches! Which I haven't had in years. Unfortunately the funeral party had apparently eaten all of one of the ingredients that goes into making a Monte Cristo so it wasn't available when I went to order it. So settled for the grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries because how can you go wrong with that? Well you apparently can because after the long wait to get the food( we were fine with the wait since I hadn't seen my brother and his family for 2 years and we were caught up in catching up) I got the food pictured. The fries were cold(as were my niece"s) and the chicken sandwich is a kids meal size anywhere else. As you can see the chicken tender they used covered about 50% of the bread(hot dog bun). After the long wait I still ate it because I was ravenous and honestly God only knows when I would have gotten a replacement if I had sent it backFYI replace the tablecloth the water from the glasses was lifting a brownish greenish film from the top of the cloth.

Had the chicken parm, was really good. Apple crisp was just as good. very enjoyable meal at a fare price.
