Sin Yau Garden Restaurant - Chapman

The chilli beef and special fried rice here are outstanding. We patronise this restaurant regularly and it is excellent for take aways. Service is pleasant and flavour is excellent.

Disappointed by the grisly cuts of beef and chicken, gloopy sauces, usual celery and onion fillers, and general lack of flavour - and not cheap at around $14 per dish. It's a Chapman local and convenient if you're tired and can't be bothered venturing further for better quality and flavours.Seriously?! Haven't we come further along than this - this Chinese is like something you'd find in a country town in the 50s, not a decent suburb in the nation's capital!

After a recent visits to other Chinese restaurants both near and far, we thought it might be a good idea to check out the local Chinese takeaway.Pretty much ordered similar dishes to the previous outings, perhaps expecting similar quality and flavours. By comparison, SinYau was a little bland and doesn't really have that something 'special'.Service was prompt - phone call to pickup was only 10 minutes.The portion sizes are good and the price is perhaps a little less than what I was expecting.Overall, a simple takeaway meal for this occasion - something to keep the family happy.
