We discovered this while staying at Hyatt Place hotel -its an easy walk and has good vegan options
There are many options available at the hot bar/buffet, but unfortunately, not for vegans. It seemed that the salad bar was the only vegan-friendly choice. The potatoes were prepared with butter, and the vegetables were drenched in cream. I was disappointed, but I moved on and ended up buying a loaf of delicious fresh bread and some hummus. The co-op has great prices on vegetables and hard-to-find items, so I would consider shopping for groceries here. However, if I’m craving hot, freshly made vegan cuisine, I’ll have to look elsewhere.
Weaver Street also has an extensive selection of wine and beer, along with locally brewed coffee. The hot and cold bars for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are exceptional and very accommodating for vegans. For breakfast, you can enjoy a remarkable tofu scramble, the best hash browns I’ve ever tasted, and delicious vegan oatmeal—all for under $5! The lunch and dinner salad bar is massive, featuring a variety of beans, vegetables, fruits, and excellent vegan dressings. The hot bars consistently offer tasty vegan options alongside meat and dairy dishes. Renowned in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area, the bakery features outstanding breads and pastries, and you can always find a few scrumptious vegan cakes and cupcakes.
