I loved my experience at O?ya. I went as a part of the Offline membership for the month of February so I had $10 off. I wouldn?t normally go here because it is 30 minutes from my house but I appreciated the chance to try a new place. The food was amazing and it came out very quickly. What Deepti Mehta doesn't like about O'ya Cantina- Chapel Hill:
Went last night around 7:45pm. It was awful! Have eaten there before. The employees are young and wanted to leave ASAP! My son?s meal was cold and my veg bowl had hardly any taste except filled with lettuce. I have had this before so when I asked got a rude reply that they haven?t changed the chef and maybe the cilantro concentration was not enough. They had the brooms out at 8:15 If u go for lunch maybe a better exp... View all feedback.
LONG LIVE O'YA CANTINA! On a serious note, we had our concerns during the pandemic, but these folks kept on delivering amazing food. This was our first experience dining in, and I was thoroughly impressed! I tried a bowl for the first time, and it absolutely blew me away—so flavorful and distinct. I will definitely be ordering it again!
I had a fantastic experience at O'ya. I visited in February as part of the Offline membership, which gave me a $10 discount. Although it's a 30-minute drive from my home, I was glad to have the opportunity to try a new place. The food was exceptional, and it was served promptly. I ordered chicken tacos, cheese dip, and plantains. The tacos were outstanding, made with Peruvian-style chicken, and the homemade pickles were delightful. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely.
We ordered several dishes and they were all fantastic. The taquitos, both tinga and carne, were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. We also tried the vegetarian tostadas, which had a delightful seasoning on the broccoli, cauliflower, and potatoes, as well as pupusas and an amazing veggie burrito. We would happily make the drive back just to enjoy them again soon. The vegetables were so fresh that it felt like they had chopped the tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, and everything else right before serving us. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service as well; it was a completely satisfying dining experience. We’re really looking forward to trying many more options from the menu!
Great food and nice size portions! Definitely will come back !
