We love The Asbury. The only issue is that due to the Queen's Feast, they didn't have a great dessert situation since the biggest problem was that all of the dessert was gone by the time we got to that round. We will be coming back though so just a minor hiccup. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Asbury:
The Asbury is visually a lovely little restaurant attached to a quaint hotel. The service was attentive. The food, however, was subpar—bland, small portions. And the cost was outrageous for the quality of the meal. I want to like the Asbury. It's a great location. But if my experience was indicative of their food, I won't be back. View all feedback.
Horrible breakfast and experience at The Asbury. For a high end hotel, the breakfast at the restaurant was not up to par. Cold eggs, and stale toast, with a greasey rubber sandal, they consider a jalapeño hash brown. Coffee tasted old (it was 9am) and watered down. The bacon tasted like it was dipped in liquid smoke and was also cold. Waitress doesn’t know the effort behind customer service. Left a good tip but hopefully this review sparks a change there.
It was a good first time but it doesn’t stand out to me. Service was good, nothing amazing but not bad by any means. I got the banana bread appetizer which was amazing and I definitely recommend. For my meal I got the Cajun shrimp eggs benedict. It had great flavor but the eggs were definitely overcooked so it was basically avocado toast with a boiled egg and two pieces shrimp on top. Maybe they don’t offer them, but I was disappointed they didn’t offer me a box. If they didn’t have them, then I can’t do much about that but if they do, I had a decent amount of food leftover that I would’ve liked to take home but the plate was removed from the table already so it was too late to ask
The service was great! Food delious! We sat outside for brunch on a beautiful day.
The staff, service, food, ambience, live music ?, cocktails ?, were all so impeccable! We 'll definitely be going back. This week is also 'restaurant week '. You can choose from that menu or regular menu. Some entrée pictures are missing because they smelled so mouthwatering and looked divine! We had to eat those straight away... This restaurant is inside the Dunhill Hotel. You can access the restaurant from Tryon Street address. Wonderful place for dinner and drinks! Street parking available all around the area. We found a spot within 500 ft.
Food is okay. Service was a little slow, but certainly competent. Location is small and intimate. I think in any other city The Asbury would be a bigger deal. But the food scene in Charlotte is booming which relegates The Asbury to being “just another restaurant.” There’s nothing wrong with it really, it’s just not worth going out of the way for.
