Diamond - Chaotte

I really want this place to be awesome. They are usually out of something you want to order, no matter when you go for dinner. Sometimes the food is hit and miss. The hamburgers are great and are the same ones they used to serve at the Penguin. You can't really go wrong there.

Only one other customer. Now I know why. Pork chops over cooked and dry. Mac and cheese soggy and overcooked. One of the worst meals I have ever had. But, the salad was good. No salt and pepper shakers on table. No butter for muffins. Had to ask for everything. Waiter was new so had no knowledge of some items as to taste.would NEVER go back, even if it was free.

Have to wonder, do the owners of this business know that they habitually close well before the posted hours. This was once known as a late night place to grab a meal, now they can't even stay open until 9:00pm. I got here at 8:30 and found the door locked.

We have been regular customers for years, but the service is going downhill. We went yesterday and tried to sit on their patio, but the waitress (who doesn't like waiting tables in the heat) informed us that we couldn't sit outdoors, so we left. Today I called and asked if the patio was open and was told yes, so we drove over again, went inside and asked for the patio, and were told to have a seat and they'd be with us in a moment. Twenty minutes later, without as much as a menu, we left and went elsewhere. I don't know what's going on there, but not sure when we'll be back and it's unfortunate.

I love this place ! The hot dogs are so good! I do wish the hours were longer seeing how the other restaurants in the area are open past 12 am.
