Unfortunately, the hospitality has diminished. We have been coming to Crete for several years in a row now and eat at carpe diem once an evening as standard. This year, however, the magic is gone. The service is poor, the food recommended on the menu is not available and it is also indicated that it is not available the next day. A beautiful restaurant with delicious food, wonderful views of the beach and relaxing waves and very nice and friendly staff! Spending our morning here (and evenings) really made our stay in Platanias and we recommend you to visit. The continental breakfast was my favorite and the conversation with the great staff was one of the highlights of our holiday. Love of us, Dusan and Mia
We chose the restaurant because of its location on the beach to enjoy the sunset, but the food was even better. Salmon and spinach chicken was our dinner. Both very juicy and well cooked. Prices very logical for the quality and quantity they offer. Friendly service. Excellent house wine. Well done!
Free sun beds if you buy lunch. The lunch was really good as well! Club sandwich and pizza were well worth it (and free tiny magnum for dessert was a big bonus! Staff are nice.
We don t like meat and here we had tasty choices and a perfect Carpe Diem dissert.
