Antigoni - Chania

For a restaurant the specializes in seafood, our experience was sadly disappointing. We ordered two squid dishes that were confirmed to be “fresh” —not only were they overcooked, tough, and rubbery, but they also had a foul odor and appeared to be either previously cooked or cooked when frozen. The cook did not even remove the cartilage or beak as a proper cooking prep. Thankfully they removed these €€€ items from the bill with zero complaint (we imagine that this happens a lot). Nice waiter but overall poor service and patrons seemed to be prioritized based on level of happiness because once we complained it took forever to get our bill and leave. Bad experience overall.

Was forced here on a tour that was advertised as all inclusive. This place charged up double the menu prices for our group, the seafood was lackluster, and the meats were all cooked to awkward levels of done. The waiters were nice, albeit frustratingly slow and not once was my singular glass of water refilled, let alone offered anything else to drink. I would say beware if you are not from the area as this place just has a predatory feel in retrospect.

It was not rush hour over the lunchtime, but the place is very well decorated, prices are normal, nothing wrong and the food is unexpectedly good.. It is a hidden pearl of the old port, which is overshadowed by the huge international restaurant nearby and the imitation Taverne, which are better positioned. And they also gave us deserts for free. This is recommended

Amazing food! The best Greek salad ever, slowly roasted lamb was amazing and a whole snapper with all sidings were just great. The staff and the owner were so helpful and friendly, everything was great!
