Best sushi in the south east valley by far. Wasn't crazy busy either and the are one of the few that actually take reservations! Perfect location on the water for a great view also. View all feedback.
What Todd doesn't like about Hon Machi Sushi Cocktails:
I genuinely wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but I just can't rate it any higher. The food was underwhelming at best, and the atmosphere felt rather dismal. The one bright spot was the service; our server was excellent. If I choose to give this place another chance, it will be because of the service. Food rating: 2/5. View all feedback.

My friends and I had a terrible experience at this establishment. The service from the waiter was lousy to say the least. I had concerns about the white substance in the center of my sushi what was salmon according to the menu. The manager had little interest in our tables concerns after we asked what's going on with our waiter and our food. We didn't interact with her again. Hmmm. Our waiter did reappear to drop off our checks which he added a service fee according to my receipt. I would not recommend this place.
If you enjoy substandard service, your order that takes forever with no explanation and creamery stuff that supposed to be crab this is the place for you. Their service was slow and our party had to ask repeatedly for drinks as we had to wait about 20 more minutes to get our meals after everyone received theirs. We asked what taking so long for our sushi after everyone else at the table had been served. The server laughed and said not my fault. Everyone else at our table was finished when we received our order. No apologies were given and no offer to discount our bill. When we said we were going to write a poor review of these events our server said, have a nice drive home. The sushi is priced cheap which is reflected in the contents. This is no way to treat people or run a business. Everyone in our party had to pay a convenience fee that was tacked on to our bills. Ours was $2. I guess this was for the poor service and late delivery of the order. There were 8 of us and none of us will ever return.
This is some of the best sushi I've had in Arizona. They offer a variety of rolls that I haven't seen anywhere else, and the Rattlesnake roll is simply amazing. However, I'm not particularly fond of the plum sauce.
Everything was amazing! The service was top-notch, and everything was exceptionally fresh. The owner, John, was very friendly and treated us to some incredible sashimi and sushi. It truly enhanced my experience!
