Founding Fathers Kitchen is a hidden gem in Chandler! There are other ?restaurants/bars? that exist in the area, ONLY because if more people knew about FF the competition would go out of business. The food is delicious and the staff are always smiling and engaging with their customers. The music changes throughout the day, depending on the crowd and the current atmosphere. What Brigitte Ozburn doesn't like about Founding Fathers Kitchen:
Food isn't good at all not worth the price. Shrimps are over cooked bread was soaked in the sauce. No flavor, can't taste anything at all. It's bland. This is a live music bar in the evening. View all feedback.
First off let me tell you I came in on a Sunday morning was in the mood for brunch and a couple of cocktails. The ambience is absolutely amazing with vinyl records all around the wall it definitely had a music vibe to it. Chef Mark and his wife are just amazing people. Point of this review is to tell you my breakfast burrito was amazing and I am one of the biggest critics it come to food and they nailed the service and the food go check them you you won’t be disappointed
1st time here. Deep fried mushrooms were thickly battered, very small shrooms 8 for $9.... mehhh. Servers were really nice. I also tried the short rib grilled cheese... omg! I loved it!!!
I typically don't give five-star reviews, but this place is definitely deserving. I recently visited home and met up with friends, who suggested this restaurant, just like we used to do. It’s the same spot we’ve always loved! The food was fantastic. I’ve seen some complaints about the $34 crab legs and $3 sides, but honestly, that's quite reasonable. I’ve lived in places where sides cost $6-7 and come straight from the freezer. I’ve had a few sandwiches here, and each time, everything is served hot, tasty, and well-portioned for the price. I think the drink prices are quite fair as well. Maybe some people are just looking to save a buck (I split my time between here and Oregon, where a glass of wine is $10 and cocktails start at $12). I also really enjoy the music and the nightlife atmosphere. Plus, I receive excellent service every time I visit.
The food is quite disappointing and not worth the price. The shrimp were overcooked, and the bread was drenched in sauce. There’s no flavor—it's completely tasteless and bland. On the bright side, it's a live music bar in the evenings.
A couple of weeks ago, I visited to grab a beer and watch the Lakers game, but as soon as I walked in, everyone stopped and stared at me. It made me uncomfortable, and I hesitated to order food, worrying they might do something to it. I’m not sure why people treat us this way here in Arizona, especially as a Black person. You can argue that it doesn’t matter, but the atmosphere and energy in a place really matter, and I didn’t feel welcome. I encourage other African Americans who have been there to share their experiences as well.
