Food presentation was great, tasted delicious, and the ambience was great. What Garry Towne doesn't like about Cooper's Hawk Winery:
As for the restaurant, it was crowded and loud, typical for a Friday night. The food was decent, but overpriced for what it was. It reminded me of a fancier Chili's. The drinks were also on the sweet side, so we didn't order more. Overall, the restaurant was okay, but not exceptional. I might give it another chance for food, but I won't be ordering any drinks off the menu. View all feedback.
Great food and service! love the meatballs and pink grapefruit cocktail.
Our first time to this location. Will definitely go back.
Food presentation was great, tasted delicious, and the ambience was great. Only negative thing I would have to say was that we were there for lunch but the dinner side of the menu was placed face up on the table so we did not realize that the lunch menu was on the other side. So instead of getting 2 pieces of chicken breast and some asparagus spears with my Chicken Piccata, we got 3 pieces of chicken a dinner sized portion. I would have thought that since we were there at lunchtime, the waitress would have asked if we wanted to order from the lunch or dinner menu.
Good food, good service, good menu. Was very happy Cooper Hawk
We used to love this place and are members of the wine club, but the waiter we got was so awful, we are cancelling and will not return. He was chewing gum the entire time, poured wine a few inches from his face, told us several times to go to another restaurant in Apache Junction to get a better deal on spaghetti, and told us the only reason we liked Cooper's Hawk is because, we don't work here He told us he'd been there since day 1, but we'd not previously had him, so I guess we've been lucky. After the meal when my husband said if we could order dessert, he said, Well I don't know can you speak English Suffice to say we declined dessert when he returned, at which point he reiterated that we needed to go try this other place to get a good value on spaghetti. Truly unbelievable and we were with my sister and her husband, so that's 2 families turned off by this place.
