We had tender fau... read more Our first visit although we have been many times to their restaurant in the centre of Angouleme. Bascially, it's a wood fire grill restaurant. We had tender faux filet steaks with double fried chips and salad, plus a cafe gourmand for one of us and a creamy panacotta for the other. Lots of shaded parking which is a real plus on a hot day. This isn't a fancy, smart restaurant but does what it says on the lid.

Definitely worth visiting. Note: only for a fine lunch. The chef has a huge fireplace where he grills excellent pieces of meat. Nice outdoor area, but please note this place is usually packed with mostly French people, which is a good sign. Show up early or book in advance. Value for money and far better than most places downtown Angouleme.
