Hudy's Cafe The Li'l - Champlin

We were greeted with a very stale and unwelcoming sit wherever you want greeting. Our server was prompt, polite, helpful and very cheerful. The food... nothing spectacular and quite salty/bland. Scrambled eggs are actually eggs whipped and then laid flat on a grill and fried. Definitely not scrambled nice and fluffy. They were overcooked because they were left to just cook flat and therfore the taste was subpar. French toast was prepared well. Batter soaked through and cooked well. Country fried steak had no flavor and was smothered with very salty, sausage gravy. The country fried steak actually made me feel nauseous after the third bite. Hashbrowns I requested crispy which they were too crispy on the outside and mush on the inside. They tasted like burned grease. Based on the reviews I was assumed the food would have been prepared much better with more flavor and less standard cafeteria breakfast style. Definitely wouldn 't eat here again. Both myself and my partner became sick within half hour of eating which usually indicates food temp handling or cleanliness issues.

This is comfort food for the soul...breakfast or lunch. Everything here is spectacular. There isn't a thing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. The wait staff and cooks are as solid as they come. Super friendly.

Cozy place. Great food. Here on a Thursday at 2:00 and it’s mildly busy. Love it.

Had some breakfast with my friend she had been there many times before and it was absolutely delicious. Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Parking: Parking lot was full because of how popular they were. Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids here and have a good time.
