Slopeside Dining Room - Champion

We attended the buffet this past weekend. For $40 per person it was a 4 out of 5. I rated a 3 overall because the service was not good. Our server only had to take drink orders and brought water for the table. My son and I both ran out of drinks. Shecame back when we were almost done with dessert and filled our water then didn't return for over 30 minutes. We saw her foldingnapkins and walking into the kitchen several times coming out empty handed. She wasn't busy with other customers, she was simplyan incompetent server.

Annual Birthday Brunch! Loved it, as always. Wish they would bring back the fresh made inlet tea though. It was my #1 reason for coming to the restaurant.

We had a delightful Thanksgiving Dinner this year at Slopeside and are excited to return on Christmas Day. Our recent visit was fantastic; it was the best meal we've ever had at Seven Springs, and we've been dining there for over 30 years. The improvements made by the Vail Corporation in terms of food quality and preparation are remarkable. We feel fortunate to have such a high-quality resort so close to Pittsburgh! Highly recommend!!!

The food was quite good, and there were plenty of options available. We chose the Prime Rib Buffet, and it certainly lived up to our expectations! However, I found it a bit unfortunate that a steak costs $10 less than the buffet, where I could enjoy a wider variety of food. Still, $42 for the buffet felt a bit steep.

We have been visiting Slopeside for years to enjoy their fantastic soup, salad, and dessert bar. Unfortunately, it now can only be purchased with full entrees, which are just mediocre. The full hot buffet is overpriced at $42. The salad bar has also seen a decline in both variety and quantity. The bread selection was quite limited and not fresh. Sadly, this is the result of the changes brought on by COVID and inflation affecting what was once a great restaurant.
