Easily one of the best local places to eat on Green St. and Champaign as a whole. I always try to stop by here when I’m in town because there’s nothing like it anywhere by me. Service is always quick and friendly. Food is always flavorful and made to order. I highly recommend the Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup, it has a bold beefy flavor profile combined with the nice firm texture of the noodles and numbing spice. View all feedback.
What Shiungor doesn't like about Mid Summer Lounge:
We tried the reasonable priced appetizers. All tasted ok. Will have to try their noodles next. *Potato shredded was not spicy enough. *Beef was not bad but not flavorful enough. *Squid was good fresh per my sis *Lamb skewers were large enough for the $3price point each but not seasoned enough. Consistent food and very flavorful everything. Dumplings are fire and all the noodle soup dishes were great! We frequently visit weekly.
So darn good. We arrived here tired and hangry from Chicago. Place was empty(ish) so we worried. But, boy were we wrong. I ordered noodle soup with egg noodles, mushroom-based broth, cabbage and bean sprouts. So warm and filling. Hand-pulled noodles were chewy and fragrant. Just wonderful, filling, cooked with love. My daughter got spicy cold noodles. Also delicious. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to Mid Summer Lounge.
Stopped by while waiting for a bus. I ordered the cold Szechuan noodles 四川凉面 and they were great. It happened to be vegetarian (fine because I needed a light snack! and they were very tasty. The amount was also quite generous. The food also came out very quickly. I would gladly come back and recommend what I ordered! There were plenty of other people there as well.
Really good noodles and appetizers. Nice interior. Mutton broth is super flavorful. Slaps
